AGF Appointment... Despite being linked to trials of ex public officials.

Femi Ajayi's article (see link above) gave some very good insight into the standoff between the AGF and the EFCC.

It was shocking for me to learn that the AGF's law practice had handled the anti-corruption trial of George Akume (now a member of the House) and also was a counsel to Atiku Abubakar indicted by a panel for mismanaging the PTDF. In spite of the obvious conflict of interests, he was appointed AGF by this government.

My previous post talked about the integrity of Yaradua. Having read the article above, I am not quite sure again. Mr President cannot be seen to make appointments that include people with vested interests in corrupt officials. This not only taints the administration but makes a mockery of its fight against corruption.
